How much weight will this Horizontal Gun Rack hold?

The HD04 will hold up to 15 pounds per cradle as long as it is installed as recommended…so 30 pounds if the weight is distributed evenly.

Can the HD04 be used without the aluminum rail system?

Yes, the HD04 can be purchased with either the “flat wall” mounts (screw directly to the wall) or the “slat wall” mounts (use on a slat wall system). Be sure to choose the correct mounting option when you go through the order process.

Do the cradles need to be mounted to studs, or is sheetrock adequate?

We do recommend attaching to the studs if possible. If not, we supply sheetrock anchors that are quite capable of holding the rated weight limit of 15 pounds.

Will the cradle mar or affect the finish on my guns?

The tubing that is on the cradles is designed to be non-marring for any surface on your guns.
